30th Annual Celebrate Nashville Cultural Festival Returns OCT. 3
Experience cultures from around the world through live music and performances, international food vendors, unique goods at the World Bazaar and more — all with free admission.
Celebrate Nashville, the city’s beloved multicultural festival, returns for its 30th anniversary on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Centennial Park. Presented by Nashville Metro Parks, the family-friendly event brings together more than 50 cultural communities that make their homes in Middle Tennessee to honor the region’s rich diversity. Admission to the festival is free, and parking details can be found on the Celebrate Nashville website.
With one in six Nashville residents foreign-born, Celebrate Nashville serves as a vital platform for intercultural connection. The 2026 theme, “Global Transit Hub,” honors three decades of cultivating community through food, dance, art, music and other cultural traditions. The festival will also welcome former Nashville Mayor Bill Purcell, who played an integral role in founding the original Celebration of Cultures and helped establish the foundation for the multicultural festival Nashville celebrates today.
“Nashville’s cultural diversity is one of the things that makes our city so special,” said Cindy Politte, Celebrate Nashville’s festival organizer and executive director. “Celebrate Nashville gives people the opportunity to experience cultures and traditions from around the world, right here in their own community. It’s a celebration of the many groups and viewpoints that make Nashville such a vibrant and welcoming place to call home.”
This year, the festival will kick off at 9 a.m. with the inaugural Celebrate Nashville parade — a festival first, in honor of the 30th anniversary. Marching bands, community groups and musicians in traditional attire will march through Centennial Park. Groups interested in participating can apply online or email entertainment@celebratenashville.org. The parade concludes at the Global Village Stage with a high-energy, five-minute performance set to an original anthem celebrating Music City’s international community. Attendees will learn simple, inclusive choreography to join in the fun!
Celebrate Nashville encourages understanding, appreciation and respect. Performances take place throughout the day on multiple stages. Food vendors will offer exotic tastes from around the world. You’ll also find dedicated areas geared toward children and teens, a marketplace of handcrafted and imported items, educational and interactive exhibits, and much more.
Festival Areas and Highlights Include:
Global Village & Stage: Presented by the Nashville Metro Human Relations Commission, the village and surrounding ellipse offer nonstop music, dance and cultural exhibits representing dozens of international traditions.
New Event Pavillion: The much-anticipated new Event Pavilion at Centennial Park will come to life with dancing and cultural programming throughout the day, presented by Scarritt Bennett Center, founder of Celebration of Cultures—the original festival that evolved into today’s Celebrate Nashville Cultural Festival.
International Games Field & Metro Parks Performs: Interactive games clinics with the Nashville Soccer Club, athletic demonstrations, and arts showcases from Nashville’s 27 community centers.
The World Bazaar: A bustling, open-air market in the Parthenon parking lot featuring handcrafted goods, authentic international imports, artisan demonstrations, and booths from local nonprofits.
The Cafe Stage and Food Area: Listen to amazing music while sampling new-to-you international cuisines from more than 25 different food vendors.
Kidsville Children’s Area & Stage: The Children’s Area, coordinated by Centennial Park Conservancy’s Kidsville program, will feature hands-on art activities, cultural education, and interactive play with dozens of local partner organizations.
Teens United: Organized by the Oasis Center’s International Teen Outreach Program (ITOP), highlighting youth-led games, crafts, and performances.
Centennial Park will be closed to vehicle traffic on event day. Free attendee parking is available in the HCA Healthcare lots off Park Plaza. Accessible (ADA) parking is available inside the park.
