GIVING & GRATITUDE SEASON
A time of year when we give thanks for what we have and give back to what we love.
At Centennial Park Conservancy, we’re thankful our city has a beautiful central park and a landmark art museum that enriches the lives of people who visit these important public spaces. We’re thankful to Metro Parks for a public-private partnership that enables us to provide these gifts to our community.
We’re also thankful for YOU - our generous members, donors, sponsors, and partners. Together with Metro Parks and your generous support, we served our community this year by revitalizing the Park’s green space, funding the Parthenon’s exhibition and educational programs, and presenting accessible and inclusive community programming to sustain the Park’s vibrancy.
A few highlights of the important work we accomplished in 2021 through your support:
Revitalized the Park’s core 19-acres, including the Great Lawn
Established a Parthenon Preservation Fund to help Metro Parks care for our city’s iconic landmark
Engaged over 300K visitors with arts & educational programming at the Parthenon and through our Musicians Corner, Kidsville, and Nashville Earth Day programs
Raised funds for upcoming Park revitalization projects, including the new Children’s Memory Garden and Park Plaza / Event Pavilion Phase
Created the Wesley Paine Internship Fund to supported the development of future museum professionals, with an emphasis on diversity, equity, and representation
All of this was made possible by your generosity!

As we close out this year, we are raising funds to support Centennial Park’s ongoing maintenance and revitalization, including the next phase of Park improvements to the Park Plaza area, which will feature a Park entrance over the 31st Avenue Connector and an events pavilion to host community gatherings. You can give back to the Park that gives us so much by making a donation to the Centennial Park Maintenance Fund or the Park’s Capital Campaign to support the upcoming phase of its revitalization.
Thank you for helping us protect, revitalize, and activate Centennial Park to preserve its tradition and sustain its vibrancy as a central green space and cultural centerpiece of our community.
You can show your support by making a donation to one of the following areas:
GENERAL OPERATING & PROGAMMING SUPPORT DONATIONS
Make an impact by donating to Centennial Park Conservancy’s general operations and programming to help further our mission in the park and Parthenon, ensure free access to arts and educational programs for our community, sustain the organization, and support the areas of greatest need. Your generous support will help provide powerful experiences for people of all ages and socio-economic groups and serve our community in Nashville’s central park. This is general unrestricted donation to support the area of greatest organizational and programming need.
CENTENNIAL PARK REVITALIZATION DONATIONS
We have already completed $21M in restoration efforts for the first two phases of the Centennial Park Revitalization. We are currently raising an additional $995K to fully fund the $5M Park Plaza/Event Pavilion Phase, which will increase access to the park from the 31st Avenue Connector and introduce an outdoor pavilion for a wide variety of events. You can help support this historic revitalization of Nashville's central park by making a restricted donation to our Capital Campaign.
CENTENNIAL PARK MAINTENANCE FUND DONATIONS
Thanks to a $100K donation from a generous donor, we established the Centennial Park Maintenance Fund in 2020 to support Metro Parks in funding the ongoing maintenance needs for the park and ensuring the park is well-maintained to serve our community. You can show your support for maintaining the beauty of Nashville's central park by making a restricted donation to the park's maintenance fund.
PARTHENON PRESERVATION FUND DONATIONS
The Parthenon is a Nashville treasure. As our city’s iconic landmark and a vibrant museum, it has been a symbol of civic pride since 1897. Centennial Park Conservancy established the Parthenon Preservation Fund in 2021 to support Metro Nashville in caring for the 100 year-old building and its permanent collection. Donors can contribute restricted funds to help underwrite improvements, upgrades, and restoration projects that are not funded by the Metro Nashville budget. By making a restricted donation to the Parthenon Preservation Fund, you are supporting the historic centerpiece of our city and partnering with Centennial Park Conservancy and Metro Parks to ensure that the Parthenon continues as a thriving cultural and educational institution.
